Beachfront Eco Tents – Nature, Comfortably
Available Wednesday to Sunday from 1 April 2026
Our Beachfront Eco Tents are nestled within the natural landscape, offering a balance of comfort and connection to the environment. Designed for guests who love the outdoors but appreciate a proper bed and creature comforts, the tents provide a relaxed base for island adventures. Wake to birdsong, fall asleep to the sound of the sea and enjoy the simple luxury of space, shade and fresh air.
Eco Tent stays include access to shared island amenities and are perfectly suited to couples, friends or families wanting a low impact stay that still feels special. With limited numbers available, the atmosphere remains calm, uncrowded and intentionally intimate.
Beachfront Eco Tent stays are a minimum of 2 nights, maximum 4 nights, and come in the following configurations:
- Twin Single (ideal for travelling friends)
- Twin Queen (designed for travelling families, featuring 2 x queen beds)
- King (perfect for a romantic retreat or solo travellers)
All Eco Tents include crisp linen and towels, charging dock with power outlet, lantern, fan and esky with ice.
Please note that Eco Tents are not air conditioned and may be unsuitable for people with heat sensitivities during the warmer months from November to May.
Bathroom facilities are provided for Eco Tent guests at the nearby amenities block.
Campsites – Back to Basics

For those who prefer a more traditional island stay, Dunk Island’s Bayside Campsites offer a classic coastal camping experience. Set close to the water and surrounded by tropical greenery, campsites are ideal for confident campers who enjoy travelling light and living outdoors.
Campsite guests have access to shared amenities, picnic areas and island facilities, making it easy to settle in and enjoy long days of swimming, walking and wildlife spotting. Campsites are popular with locals and returning visitors who know that simplicity is part of Dunk’s charm.
There are six campsites which can accommodate up to six people per site (2 adults and 4 children).
While there is no minimum stay, due to the limited number of sites we have a maximum camping stay of 4 nights.
Island Living, Your Way
Whether you stay in a Beachfront Eco Tent or at a Bayside Campsite, island life is refreshingly flexible. Spend your days snorkelling the surrounding reefs, hiking rainforest trails or paddling the coastline. Dine at the jetty side restaurant, fire up a BBQ in the picnic area or enjoy your own simple meals under the palms.
Overnight guests are rewarded with the quieter side of Dunk Island – sunsets over the water, star filled skies and mornings that begin without a schedule.
Accommodation at Dunk Island is limited by design, helping protect the island’s natural environment and ensuring every guest has space to breathe. All Eco Tent and campsite bookings are available through our online booking portal.
